This study aims to review the scholarly work of different authors to examine the role of cooperatives in women empowerment. The research methodology adopted for the study is systematic review of literature. VOS viewer software is employed to identify most cited literatures. Findings suggest cooperatives work as a medium for social empowerment, growing social networks, and empower women.
